St Andrews Estate Agents was established to be Hobart's premier real estate agency. First and foremost, the owners are trained property professionals: registered property valuers, real estate agents or property consultant – no other real estate business in our market harbours this concentration of expertise.

Our aim is simple: to consistently achieve market-leading results for our clients.

Steve Yannarakis

Since graduating as a property valuer in the early 1990s Steve has been continually involved in real estate: as a real estate valuer, property consultant and developer. Property is in his blood.

Over this period Steve has valued and sold numerous executive homes, residential subdivision sites, apartment developments and is the agent of choice for numerous buyers and sellers. His work ethic and pragmatic negotiation methods have yielded outstanding results for clients over many years.

Steve brings invaluable insights to his clients, via his property development experience, having bought and sold numerous homes and apartments, building houses, multiple unit development sites, as well as commercial projects within the city centre. 

 

Megan Gale

Meg is a registered valuer with thirty plus years’ experience, most of which has been spent in Tasmania. She commenced her career in sales and property management, became an experienced and well-respected valuer, before coming full circle into her senior role at St Andrews Estate Agents.

Meg is highly regarded for her attention to detail, excellent eye for design and presentation and pragmatic judgement.

For nearly eighteen years she worked at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney and Hobart as a registered valuer, several of which were as head of the Tasmanian valuation department for the CBA. Over this time Meg valued a comprehensive range of property types: residential, commercial, hospitality and rural.

Over this period and in tandem to the above career, she continually involved herself with a range of development and investment projects, gaining unrivalled experience in site selection, design, feasibility analysis, reading market cycles and dealing with consultants and trades. 

Stuart Wigston
REAL ESTATE AGENT

Stuart is a fourth generation Tasmanian, from a successful business family. He maintains an executive role in the family business, Wigston Lures, which manufactures and exports ‘Tasmanian Devil’ fishing lures worldwide.

Stuart’s real estate career commenced in 1989 when he was granted a four year real estate scholarship by the REIT. He is a Licensed Real Estate Agent, a qualified Property Manager (CPM Tas) and registered Property Valuer.

Seeing a ‘gap’ in the market, he co-founded St Andrews Estate Agents to service the inner Hobart market, through detailed market knowledge gained over decades and highly ethical conduct.

 

Dermot Crean

Dermot has over 30 years' multi-national experience of working with and building successful services businesses based on strong customer-driven systems.

Dermot moved to Hobart in 2011 with his Australian wife and four children and started becoming involved in business and investments. Born and educated in Ireland, he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London, working with clients such as Barclays Bank and UBS.

This led to a career in financial services, including working for banks in senior positions and then as a business owner, across Europe and further afield, handling over $20bn of transactions for businesses of all sizes and across all main industries. 

In 2001, Dermot co-founded his own financial services business which over a 10 year period became a market leader, typically handling about $1 billion of business annually. The success of the business was based on owner involvement, strong ethics and regulatory standards and focused customer-driven execution.
